SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ON CHRISTIANITY
Swami Vivekananda in Chicago said to a gathering:"We who had come from the east have sat here day after day and have been told in a patronizing way that we ought to accept Christianity because Christian nations are the most prosperous. We look about us and we see England the most prosperous Christian nation in the world, with her foot upon the neck of 250,000,000 Asiatics. We look back into history and see that the prosperity of Christian Europe begin with Spain. Spain’s prosperity began with the invasion of Mexico. Christianity wins its prosperity by cutting the throats of its fellow men. At such a price the Hindu will not have prosperity.
They come to my country and abuse my forefathers, my religion, and everything; they walk near a temple and say ‘you idolators, you will go to hell’, but they dare not do this to the Mohammedans of India, for the sword will be out, but the Hindu is too mild.
And may I ask you, Europeans, what country you have ever raised to better conditions? Wherever you have found weaker races, you have exterminated them by the roots, as it were. You have settled on their lands, and they are gone for ever. What is the history of your America, your Australia, and New Zealand, your Pacific Islands and South Africa? Where are the aboriginal races there today? They have all been exterminated, you have killed them outright, as if they were wild beasts. It is only where you have not the power to do so, and there only, that other nations are still alive.
If Christianity is a saving power in itself, why has it not saved the Ethiopians, the Abyssinians?”
I have heard many times from Christians and Muslims that Hindus should be peace-loving because that was what Hinduism told them to behave as. I have been told (especially by Muslims here) that Hinduism teaches peace and tranquility. WHAT THE F%&K DO THEY KNOW WHAT HINDUISM TEACHES?
I tell you here and now, dear readers - that Hinduism did not teach you to sit on your ass, bow down to some stupid fool who busy following Arabic ways or to some fellow who daydreams of colonial days - where you bow and they preach with their holy book and their cross. Hinduism did not teach you to meditate and waste time and your life whole day long. Or worship gods on Friday and drink pig's piss on Saturdays.
Hinduism says - FIGHT. Hinduism teaches - FIGHT.
When Shri Devi was kidnapped by Ravana, Shri Rama did not sit idle and do nothing. He got up and fight for His right.
When Kauravas couldn't even give five houses to the Pandavas, Shri Krishna did not tell the Pandavas to sit down and take it lying down. He said - GET UP AND FIGHT.
Even modern day sages like Samy Vivekanda says - FIGHT. When reports asked Mahatma Gandhi whether he condone actions of Nitaji in using violence against British, he didn't say he condemn Nitaji's action, he said everyone fights in his own ways. So Hindus - get up and fight. Because you are not doing any justice to anyone by refusing to fight. A rare find in Youtube.

In the beginning speech itself, Swamy Vivekanda spoke of WHY he is proud to be (a Hindu). This is something all Hindus should listen well, for he speaks of Hindus' tolerance, virtues and open-armed welcome to those who are persecuted and needed help in the past. Cause and Effect - Christians failed God.
Today, many Christians trying hard to convert Hindus to their ways, believing that they alone have the way to the salvation (through Christ). However. one do not look carefully at nations like the United States of America and the state it is in today and asked, why is USA seems to becoming worse and worse every decade? Matter a fact, why is the Church seems to be shaky in its foundations and many have left to become atheists? The answer is Karma - the Christians (and the Roman Church) had failed God too many times in the past, and all one need to do to prove this could be to look at the history for the past 200 years.
For over 100 years ago, great sages have been sent to the People of America, in attempt to show them the path to God. It was not to convert them away from Christianity but to teach them perspective of Spiritualism which they were lacking and their Church unable to provide further. It was a changing time, God knew this and understood that if Americans who are quickly establishing themselves as authority of Science and Technology, were to taught a better way to think in a more rational and logical way (as described in Bhavagad Gita), they could progress forward both in worldly knowledge as well as in Spiritual knowledge (without the need to convert out of Christianity). Sages like Swamy Vivekanda and Swamy Prabhupada had went there to educate the People of USA since 1890s (as shown in the Youtube clip above). However, it was Christians in their ignorance and arrogance, who had rejected these spiritual gurus.
One should be aware, that when One rejects God's assistance, One courts destruction and corruption, and invites the Devils to come to their homes, which is what had happened.
In 1920 - 30s - USA was plaqued with social problems like liqour and gang wars, to the point that the Government was struggling to contain them through their legal means.
In 1940s - USA (and most European nations) had entered the Second World War, which eventually made them lose their control over Asian countries. These lead to the Cold War which started in 1950s.
In 1950s - 1960s - Social problems continued in form of drugs, freedom of sex and abortion as well as the creation of the "blue pill" which prevents women from getting pregnant (thus boost more sexual freedom).
In 1970 - 1990 - US society continued to dwindle downwards as disease like AIDS and HIV appeared. Pornography in form of magazine and tapes continued to spread among the society, making them more like animals than human being.
And today (between 2000 to present day), what we have is terrorism, murder+suicide, morale and ethical collapse and the possibility of the Government collapsing in USA within the next decade, spliting its states to 13 units as it was before the formation of USA. What is more worse - the possibility that Islam have a foothold in USA and its influence will arise and further changed the already morally corrupted society to an animalistic state.
Hindus (in India) should understand this from this thread :
Hindus have been told that at one time long ago (thousands of years ago), Hindus in India did become beacon for the rest of the Humanity but that time was long over and that Hinduism is unfit for modern ages. And that modern approach which they should follow and adapt comes from religions such as Christianity and Islam. In some cases, hindus are preached that they should reject their beliefs altogether as backward and outdated belief.This is a common misconception which many young hindus were told by a more experience con-artists, calling themselves Christian priests, Islamic clerks or simply atheists.
Through this thread, I wish to dispell that belief, especially among young Hindus who wishes to know more about their belief, and where they stood in the World and what contribution they could make to this World.
As you may have seen from the clip I pasted above, right about 118 years ago, Hindus like Swamy Vivekanda was standing before American Christians in their own home turf and speaking to them (quite proudly) about Hinduism. One needs to listen to his voice and the words he have spoken to know that this was words spoken by a Man who knew not only his own Scriptures but also the Scriptures of other religion and belief, and he was not afraid to comment and condemn the practise of Christians and Muslims in condeming Hinduism due to their ignorance and arrogance.
Young Hindus - Listen to his (Swamy Vivekanda's) voice. That is not the voice of a Man who is begging the West to allow him and his people (the Hindus) to be allowed to be with the West, it is the voice of a Man, telling the West that they are wrong in their perspective and that their approach to God is similar to that of a frog living in a well, proclaiming that the Sea cannot be bigger than the well. And it was done in the Westerners' face, in their own turf and in an era where tolerance was less practised than it is (in USA) today.
I have heard many times - India politicians proclaiming that India should mimic USA so progress could come to India. This was done since 1980s after India stop looking toward the East (as Malaysia did) and started to look at USA as a model country. As just as USA have become today, so does India become a nation of diseased, sickening, immoral and corrupted nation, where the minority (Christians, atheists and Muslims) control the country of Hindu majority, all in name of peace and tolerance.
Young Hindus - know well that 118 years ago, it was Hindu who went to USA and told USA that it's people should behave more like Hindus and its belief system should follow that of Hinduism. Till less than 120 years, Hinduism still become a beacon for Mankind and an example to follow on road to Spirituality. Take heed of my words and rise once again. {:1_149:}
