Wargaming SEA Announces Their Very First LeagueCompany takes a leap into the competitive world of eSports

March 25, 2013 — Wargaming SEA today announced their very first league in Asia Pacific TanksAsia Masters: Can You Tank This? – an unprecedented foray into the global eSports scene to bridge the gap between the World of Tanks' gaming communities. TanksAsia Masters is a prelude to the Wargaming.net league, where the winner will move on to the global league with a chance at a prize pool USD2,500,000.

The league signifies a key milestone for Wargaming SEA and it aims to cement itself as one of the staple titles in the competitive gaming scene. Catering exclusively to Asia Pacific (APAC) players, this league is unique in the fact that it provides for all forms of team make up and offers players from different parts of the region the opportunity to represent their countries in the National series and play with their preferred teams.

TanksAsia Masters deviates from the norm, running on a points system as opposed to the standard tournament format. Divided into 3 levels, Masters, Regular and Challenge, an even playing field is set up for all who seek to reign. The league will consist of three seasons. The Open Season will act as a qualifier to the TanksAsia Season One and the subsequent season will see the top 8 APAC National teams being seeded into Master Play-off to battle it out for fame, glory and a chance to walk away with a piece of an incredible total prize pool of USD300,000.

TanksAsia Masters will launch officially in April 2013.
