Thimphu, 21 July 2012: His Majesty the King graced the Kagong Phurzum (special prayer) ceremony at the Memorial Chorten today.
The annual prayer ceremony is organised in the memory of His Majesty the third Druk Gyalpo King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck who passed away on this date in 1972.
His Majesty, accompanied by Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen, lit butter lamps in front of the portrait of our third Druk Gyalpo and offered prayers in his memory and for the peace and happiness of the people of the country.
His Majesty also interacted with the public and with the members of the Wangchuck Jeydren Tshokpa - the organising committee of this annual prayer ceremony.
Members of the Royal Family, retired Poenkhas (officers), and former royal retainers were also present.

Elok juga raja-raja melayu Malaysia dan queen malaysia pakai sarung tangan sebab kalau bersalaman dengan yang bukan muhrim tu kira tak bersentuh.. Aurat kena juga jaga.
