5th National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition will be two preliminary round (30/3/2012 and 31/3/2012) and one final round (1/4/2012). The details of event are as follow:

Introduction:
National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition is a platform for dancers to exchange and share about their experiences in Chinese cultural dance. The objective of this event is to promote the Chinese cultural dances. In Year 2004, Chinese Language Society, Multimedia University (Melaka Campus) had launched the 1st National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition in order to provide a stage for local dancers. After the 4th biennial Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition, this event had proven a success in achieving its objectives in promoting Chinese cultural dance and provided opportunity for dance lovers to perform. Thus, the 5th National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition will be held once again to preserve the arts in Chinese Culture.
Target:
1) Enhance and develop Chinese dancing culture
2) Encourage Chinese or non-Chinese to active in contiguity Chinese dancing cultural
3) Increase the quality of Chinese Cultural Dance
4) Excavate more people with ability in Chinese cultural dance
5) Popularize the ethos of Chinese cultural dance in Malaysia
6) To create an atmosphere and environment for learning Chinese Cultural Dance
7) To let all those Chinese cultural dancing group in Malaysia achieve their communion in dancing
Objective:
1) Provide an opportunity for dancers to interact and exchange experiences with each other.
2) Increase the popularity of local Chinese Cultural Dance at international stage.
3) Assist CLS in promoting cultural inheritance and social awareness.
4) Enable the society to build up positive image in promoting Chinese culture.
5) Discover and cultivate the potential CLS members.
6) Enable members to learn about event organizing and improve the standard of National Chinese Cultural Dances Competition.
