x slap aku pernah tbaca masa first ngpv nk kluar dulu bahawa design sterusnya x smestinya dr design yg sama, sama juga ngan keupayaan, bleh jdi sbg asw, asuw atau utk plndungan udara...so klau dh ckap cmtu dlm 27 biji yg dirancang kita mungkin akan dpt 4 model/keupayaan, bgantung kpada ancaman semasa la kot. harapx lima nnti akan kluar design tu

Malaysia orders French Offshore Patrol Vessels..
French naval shipbuilder DCNS and Malaysian Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BNS), announced that they have received a contract to build patrol vessels worth RM10 billion, according to a former law minister.

DCNS will build these patrol vessels in Perak. Unsurprisingly, BNS has no idea how to build these patrol vessels, nor does it know what electronic and fighting equipment these vessels should be equipped with. DCNS will decide and dictate everything, including the price of about RM10 billion (approx 3.3 billion USD). Usually, it will announce a lower figure but these costs often escalate, depending on various additional requirements.
Boustead Naval Shipyard is a one-stop centre for defense and maritime needs. Covering an area of 46 hectares, it was originally known as the Royal Malaysia Navy Dockyard became fully operational in 1984. The Company was corporatized in 1991 and subsequently privatized in 1995 as PSC Naval Dockyard Sdn Bhd.
With more than 350 years of industrial heritage in naval defense, DCNS boasts a tradition of innovation at the service of naval forces: French initially – because, since the moment of its creation, DCNS has been serving the French navy – and international today, because the Group now also offers to share its expertise with the world’s other navies. tu de zeven provincient, kapal belanda tu, pjg lebih kurang 130m ni, berat dalam 6000 tan tu,kita punya gowind pun bru 105m n berat 2700 tan lebih kurang. data aku tk tepat cuma ingatx je tpi dah mmg tahap destroyer ni
nmpaknya harga dh melonjak kpd rm 9 bn, pihak kementerian pertahanan perlu telus utk menerangkan knapa harga begitu melonjak dr rm 6 bn pada awalnya kpd rm 9 bn skrg. klau tak....mcm biasa pembangkang akan ambil kesempatan utk mmpertikaikannya.
sekali naik x agak2. klu naik setakat 500 juta tu boleh terima lg...ni naik smpi 50%.

So dari SGPV jadik LCS pulak .... ok, understandable in terms of hike in pricing. But still, jangan flip flop & jadi cam NGPV-Amin Shah saga pulak cam tragedi dedolu.
