SM’s stocks are down due to dismissal of injunctions
With the courts determining that JYJ can act separately from SM, SM ENT is displaying its weakness in the stock market on the 18th.
At 9:25 am, SME’s stocks have declined 1.38% and is being traded at 21,450 KRW. SME’s stocks have declined up to 2% after the stock market opened today.
On the previous day, the 50th department of the Seoul Central Court dismissed the injunctions filed by SM against JYJ’s Kim JaeJoong, Park Yuchun, and Kim Junsu.
The courts revealed, “the contract between the three members and SME requires the members to unilaterally follow SME’s orders and therefore can be categorized as a “subordinate contract.” Which such a decision, it seems issues relating to SME’s slave contracts will become only bigger.

JYJ Win Legal Battle with Former Management
JYJ, formed by three former members of boy band TVXQ, are now officially on their own and no longer under the influence of their former management agency SM Entertainment.
The Seoul Central District Court on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit filed by SM Entertainment against JYJ over what the band said was an unfair contract between the two parties. JYJ asked the court in 2008 to suspend the contract, and the court agreed, but SM Entertainment brought an injunction.
The band said their 13-year contract with SM Entertainment was unjustifiably long and it prevented them from receiving a fair share of the profits they generated. Since then, they have separated from TVXQ and created JYJ, which is shorthand for their names -- Jae-joong, Yu-chun, and Jun-su.

JYJ (Minus The Y) Thanks Fans After SM Entertainment’s Injunctions Are Dropped
On February 17th, the Seoul District Courts dismissed all of SM Entertainment’s lawsuits against JYJ including the two injunctions.
This allows JYJ to legally continue their activities as a trio and SM Entertainment is not allowed to block or interfere with their activities.
However, this is not the final ruling on JYJ’s lawsuit against SM Entertainment which deals with their contracts. The hearing for that case will resume in March.
In response to the good news, Junsu and Jaejoong both tweeted messages for their fans.
Jaejoong – “It feels like we will keep endlessly clashing with something that cannot be seen with these clashes being covered up.. But today, at this moment, all I feel is breathless from the gratitude that I have for so many people..”
Junsu – “To our fans, who helped us not let go of and kept us holding on till the end to.. the string that was so shaky and unstable..
