Kim Hyun Joong is currently leading a popularity poll on Yahoo! Taiwan.Yahoo! Taiwan and Yahoo! Hong Kong have come together for the Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards 2009 and in the Taiwanese poll, Kim Hyun Joong is in first place for the Asia section with 401,235 votes.
Also, his group SS501 is in 2nd place with 60,396 votes which technically means he has almost 500,000 votes. It's been known that Boys Over Flowers started playing in Taiwan but the popularity of the show proved itself through this poll. Goo Hye Sun is in 6th place, Lee Min Ho in 11th, and Kim Bum in 22nd.
Guess it's Jihoo sunbae over Goo Jun Pyo in Taiwan.
Excluding the Boys Over Flowers cast, Super Junior is in 4th place with 22,448 votes, Lee Jun Ki is in 8th and Yoon Eun Hye is in 9th.Is this a poll for Asia or Korea?
A representative of Yahoo! Korea said, "This poll shows how big Hallyu is.I hope Korean stars bring in more votes in the days that are left for the poll."
These polls are for an actual awards show that is to be held inHongKong on December 14th. There's a few days left till the polls closebutit doesn't seem like anyone will come close to Kim Hyun Joong.
