A LOCAL defence and maritime company has teamed up with leading naval designers and architects US-based Bugatti Marine to propose that Malaysia builds advanced multi-role support ships (MSS) for the Armed Forces.
Gerbang Mantap Sdn Bhd chairman Major Jeneral (Rtd) Datuk Fauzi Hussain said it was time that the armed forces had MSS in their possession to provide solutions of managing strategic sealift operations and related missions.
揂 multi role support ship can be configured to meet specific requirements. It can be customised to be a helicopter, troop carrier to even a hospital platform,

Yang akan buat kapal ni is MMHE, which kalau tak silap used to be MSE. Kalau yg ni no worries la pasal track record nya cukup baik.

Polis buat aduan Adun cuba campur tangan tugas
BUKIT MERTAJAM: Seorang anggota polis membuat aduan kepada pihak berkuasa terhadap seorang Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri yang dikatakan campur tangan ketika polis mengadakan sekatan jalan raya di kawasannya dengan alasan tanpa kebenaran.
Laporan polis itu dibuat ke atas Adun Padang Lalang, Tan Teik Cheng, selepas beliau didakwa memarahi lima anggota polis yang mengadakan sekatan jalan raya di kawasan Parlimennya tanpa kebenarannya.
Kejadian itu dikatakan berlaku di Taman Sri Rambai dekat sini kira-kira jam 11.30 malam, Sabtu lalu.
Difahamkan, Tan, Adun daripada MCA didakwa menegur kumpulan polis yang berkawal di sekatan jalan raya berkenaan dan mengarahkan mereka meninggalkan kawasan itu.
Seorang daripada polis terbabit kemudian membuat laporan terhadapnya atas dakwaan mengganggu tugas penjawat awam.
Sumber memberitahu, sekatan jalan raya itu dibuat di kawasan perumahan yang dilaporkan mempunyai kadar kes ragut yang tinggi.

Polis berkenaan menahan penunggang motosikal yang melalui kawasan itu dan kemudian mengenakan saman terhadap remaja yang menaiki motosikal diubah suai.
Kejadian itu menimbulkan kemarahan remaja itu yang kembali ke tempat kejadian ditemani bapanya dan Tan.
Adun itu dikatakan memarahi polis itu apabila diberitahu mereka hanya menjalankan tugas.
Beliau didakwa berkata, sekatan jalan raya yang diadakan di kawasan itu menimbulkan masalah kepadanya.
Ahli politik itu kemudian dikatakan memberitahu polis berkenaan supaya meninggalkan kawasan terbabit dengan segera.
Dipercayai, polis terpaksa menghentikan sekatan jalan raya kerana tidak mahu keadaan lebih buruk.
Sementara itu, Timbalan Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Negeri, Superintendan Razali Basri mengesahkan menerima laporan mengenai Adun itu dan polis sedang melakukan siasatan berhubung kejadian berkenaan.
Tan yang ketika dihubungi, enggan mengulas mengenai kejadian itu.

Police not following rules, says rep
BUTTERWORTH: Padang Lalang assemblyman Tan Teik Cheng has denied that he prevented policemen from continuing with a roadblock, but instead claimed that they were not following procedures.
揟he policemen were not in uniform, so who would know that they were police officers? They also did not mount a proper roadblock.
