bagi aku, depa nih tak lebih dari kilang dan stor senjata kita semata2... :P

Do u really think the SAF yg paling kuat di ASEAN? I highly doubt that..they might have the best equipment that money can buy,but the strongest? Naahh...

I kindda agree with you on the foundations of a new SEA alliance. China might not be as benign as the US has been. There will be a time when you see them everywhere in South China Sea as China considers it a chinese sea. Asean must be prepared for such an eventuality. Countries like Australia, Singapore, South Korea and Japan are making preparations. Some of the preparations are tangible enough for everyone to see.

China`s influence will run deep into the fabric of every Asean nation with a large chinese diaspora. It will have very large ramifications. Watch and tremble as the sleeping giant is awaken and will protect the sons/daughters of heaven everywhere.

Bukan bimbang..but a deep mistrust.

I hope the powers that be have all angles covered.

Of course. Who else can you depend upon and who can come to your aid in minutes? Whatever happens in peninsula Malaysia affects Singapore. Vice versa. Singapore is the key to South East Asia and Oceania. The defence of Australia and New Zealand, for example, starts in Singapore. Everyone knows that.

Here`s a solution. Don`t ask for our help. Is it not that simple? Or does it complicate matters for you? :P

Kuddos to Windof. You are smart enough not to be paranoid about an invasion from Singapore. There is no benefit to be gained with the conversion of Peninsula Malaysia into another Palestine. I find it bizzare when ordinary Singaporeans are not even bothered about Malaysia and people up north are singing tunes about an invasion. (As mentioned)If you do not want assistance, dont ask. It`s that simple. Fix your own military dilemma.

itu la masalah geng2 masuk air ni....

bila kita nak kuat kan pertahanan kata membazir...

bila minta bantuan kata mengharapkan org lain.....

Satu nasihat aku untuk puak2 mcm ni - kalau semua serba x kena, pegi jauh2 pindah ke negara lain - bumi Tuhan ni luas, bukan Msia semata-mata. Bukan apa, kalau jatuh Msia ke tangan mana2 negara 'sok, susah hidup diorang, salahkan ATM jugak! :I

though i doubt the peninsular can be turned into another palestine(YOU WISH:P ), i too share your opinion though in this case the poison shrimp has added the aroma of power projection..i personally has always advocated we look north for any potential adversaries, though China has always had a more 'kow tow' method of empire building, but these being a new age maybe such influence methods may not be enough militarily for some of their leaders, but then again maybe they do not want to repeat japan's greater sphere of prosperity fiasco all over again..

Yea..We`ve got better things to do then initiate some invasion; like dating, studies, dining out, wasting our time on movies, computer games, buying property all over the world, going on vacation, buying stocks, etc. We are also humans with dreams, loved ones and ambitions of making our lives a better one. War and conflict will solve nothing. Cant help it if you get paranoid. Seriously, you`ve got better things to think about and do. We are not invading anyone.

Anyway, China`s track record in SEA is horrid. They have already sunk a couple of Vietnamese naval ships in the last decade; an Asean member. They nearly sunk a filipino naval ship as well; traded shots with an Indonesian naval ship too. If it was`nt China the giant, such actions would provoke a war or expanded conflict almost instantly. Vietnam knows better. And now the Chinese are harrasing US naval ships and crashing into them. How about RMN ships when it is deemed expedient for them to flex thier military muscle? Be very afraid. Hence, RSN and RAN are beefing up. Same with South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Together, these navies will form the bulwark of an emerging counter force against the Plan in concert with the USN. You are welcome to join us.

i know psk reasons of existence since it left the federation....:Pthat's why i'm not worried at all...i know your mission and your reliance on malaysia to survive, strategically, economically, financially and militarily...vice versa...depends on interpretation.... since ur country has been kind enuff to take all the bombardments of malaysians anger and dissastifaction in time of needs... the logics and patterns are clear enuff to predict... we'll continue to get along as per normal...

yeah...you too know better that there's no reason to try to take even an inch of our soil, period. as long as we continue to live as civilised people, we'll be good neighbors, of course with slight frictions here and there all the time....

Huh? It`s actually very diversified globally. It would be unwise to depend on one country. But obviously the two countries are friends at the end of the day. Yes, you are right. Who tolerates who is an academic question. Not really essential. Lum tidor lagi lobai Windof rupanyer ;PIni pasti sering kerja malam.

hmmm..i wonder too....why dont u think of using the 3rd bridge as an easy access to deploy our troops there? (if u are thinking of making war not love (love thy neighbours).... )

Mereka nak datang pun dorang tengok perang atau kena serang sebab apa... Kalau Indon serang, sure British cepat sampai... Australia NZ kalau masa konfrantasi dulu dah berkali-kali minta baru datang (macam dok merayu, better kita defence sendiri je). Tapi kalau perang dengan lain di rantau sini seperti Singa, GajahLand atau Pinoy belum tentu dorang datang. Kalau datang pun nak bedal kita silap-silap.. Bigger senario pula, kalau Chin Chong yang datang contoh rebut Spratly.. tak de le dorang datang kecuali Uncle Sam datang dulu... I think.

mmg lumrah donia macam tuh sekarang nih...assess condition first... pasai tuh ATM mahu self reliance in every aspect.... so that kita tak perlu mengharap sangat pada bantuan dari luar... tapi kalu depa takut nak hantaq angota pon, at least bagi support ngan material pon ok jugak.
