At Least 10 Killed Due To Typhoon Chan-HomMANILA, May 8 (Bernama) -- At least ten people were killed after typhoon Chan-Hom (locally known as "Emong") hit the northern Philippines, China's Xinhua news agency quoted government officials as saying on Friday.
Ten residents were injured while four others still missing after Chan-Hom made landfall in the northern province of Pangasinan Thursday night, said Glenn Rabonza, executive officer of the country's National Disaster Coordinating Council.
Weathercasters said that the typhoon has weakened into a tropical storm as it exited out of the country on Friday.
