Bai, kalau betul penggabungan MiG-Sukhoi dan the service center established di MY..bayangkan potential revenue dan image building for MY..regional airforces will need to send their combat aircrafts for scheduled maintenance using our logistics and transportation services including insurance etc..jobs for local technicians esp those retired from the service..not to mention the shorter time turn around time for our birds at maintenance..no need to send to India/Russia for servicing or to source parts..Reply #261 areguard's post
itu yg positive part..yg negative part plak? ramai pot early retirement kot....:lol: dulu kan TUDM dah hilang ramai kat AIROD....ntah le..aku rasa kan baik TUDM handle sundri maintenance2 untuk inventory2 mereka.. dari budget RM60 billion yg diperuntukkan oleh kerajaan...takde ke barang sedikit dihulurkan untuk penambahan aset atm...nak gak tengok new toys......:)

sejak bila kena table? semenjak pembelian Sukhoi n scorpene menjadi bualan hangat di parlimen, sehinggakan pembelian EC-725 dihentikan kerana dipertikai... so oleh kerna xnak lagi jagi macam tuh lagi so terpaksaler buat open tender or tablekan dalam kabinet... maybe lepas nih direct nego pun susah nak ada, hopefully FMS masih berguna lagi... :lol:Reply #263 foranz's post
Pembelian aset takde sebut.. yang ada untuk bajet tambahan nie bagi mindef khusus bagi pembinaan kompleks penginapan anggota di klang, kompleks hospital ATM di Taiping.Peruntukkan lain, pengubahsuaian dan pembaikan kem2 /pengkalan2 tentera... peruntukkan bagi Mindef kalau ikut table yg aku ada meningkat ler dari RM571 juta kepada RM732 juta.

I tend to agree for RMAF to service its own aircraft. Otherwise RMAF will be too dependent on companies for maintenance and servicing. Call me old fashion but thats how an airforce is suppose to be. Selagi xda perang or konflikxyah mimpi la epos nk dpt ape yg depa nk..nk kene bg mampus br la terhegeh2 nk beli.. don;t know how RMAF operates, bought airframe from Sukhoi but weapon and radar systems from other western countries but without the know how to the system integration.Currently, SU-30MKM is non-operational due to failure of system integration.Do you think Russian and other weapon suppliers want to give their confidential data to other parties? Banyak pembelian aset dibuat oleh pengurusan bukan ahli teknikal, ingat macam beli Proton wira dan beli enjin Evo, boleh modified sana-sini.Sepatutnya beli kereta siap macam BMW M3, Ferrari, mana ada orang beli BMW dan modified sana sini...ambik enjin honda ker... I believe u dont understand the magnitude of the acquisition. The Su-30MKM are operational, but of course there system integration problems. Why not? The Russians were asking, why is our avionics arent good enough? But the acquisition may have other larger implications beyond the military sphere. I shall leave you there. Reply 278# RainbowSix
I only agree if we have the capability and competency in the system integration, until then buy a whole package either from the producer, be it Russian or American.Try crawling and walking before running at full speed.... no point having expertise of we dun spend enough money on our experts too.
