Is black, a color?

I think black is not a color, because black appears only during the absence of white. But if that is so, then, white would be a color-not as well, as it shows no signs of black being present - so what do YOU think? Is black a color? What can you see if true black is a color?

when talking about colour we have those painting type color and the light spectrum.

in the sense of light spectrum, different colors combine to become white. No color/light at all, black.

black is a terms of word to signify the color of "arang" ;P

cemana pulak nak ganti perkataan black tu kat dlm definition perkataan2 bawah ni?

black is shadow...when there is no presence of light...where light gives colour...

to me, when putting a name of darkness/blankness/shadow in terms of colour, it is called black. i think black is the shade you need for shadow. B&W pictures accentuates on the percentage of shadow, i.e black
