Kucing..dan Permasalahan Cacing

Masalahnya tatau yg mana beyak...sekor tu peyut buncit n kuat makan...another one kurang makan n kecik num susu pun kurang ...Rasa2 yg peyut buncit tu le...Vet tu suggest la troy lab punya syrup ni..tatau la ok ke tak Pernah sesiapa try tak ubat ni??...kt botol dia kata sesuai utk 6, 8 to 12 weeks old kitty...tk bgtau pulak pasal 4 weeks....tapi saya bg jugak ikut weight dia...n kena bagiutk 2 hari berturut2... takut2 jugak overdose kang...

1.2Indications for use, specifying the target species
Piperazine Citrate is indicated for the treatment and control of intestinal infections/ infestations of dogs and cats, and may be used from 2 weeks of age.
1.3Contra-indications
Whilst piperazine salts have few side effects and are of low toxicity, care should be taken, especially with kittens and puppies, to ensure that the correct dosage is calculated by weighing the animal prior to administration of the drug. Animals weighing less than 1.25kg should be treated with a suitable anthelmintic licensed for this purpose.
Do not repeat treatment if vomiting occurs shortly after dosing.

Eh camner lak camtu ...yg dlm bold tu....Klinik tu timbang anak kucin kita n bg mengikut dosage....anak kucin kita tak smp pun 1 kilogram....300 gm je sampai...so 300 gm bg sket je tak sampai 1 ml kasi mkn ubat cacin....arini dua2 cirit2 n kluo cacing dh mati.....iskkk sabo je...tp bagus jugak...dua2 mau mkn..sblm tu yg kici susah nak mkn beno...kena paksa num susu..takut dehydrate....pastu skang keep on cirit lak...mungkin anak kucin kita too small lagi kot...:( Oooo...so this is what antihelminthics means:
Antihelminthics are drugs that expel parasitic worms (helminths) from the body, by either killing or stunning them. A traditional remedy of this type is often called a vermifuge.
Examples of drugs used as anthelmintics include:
* Albendazole - Effective against: threadworms, roundworms, whipworms, tapeworms, hookworms
* Diethylcarbamazine - Effective against: Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, Brugia timori, tropical pulmonary eosinophilia, loiasis
* Mebendazole - Effective against: pinworms, roundworms and hookworms
* Niclosamide - Effective against: tapeworms
* Ivermectin - Effective against: most common intestinal worms (except tapeworms)
* Suramin
* Thiabendazole - Effective against: roundworms, hookworms
* Octadepsipeptides - Eg: Emodepside. Effective against a variety of gastrointestinal helminths
According to the United States Army Field Manual, there are several other common products which can be used (albeit dangerously) as anthelmintics:
* Saltwater. Mix 4 tablespoons of salt (NaCl) in 1 quart of water and drink. Never repeat this treatment.
* Tobacco - Eat 1 to 1.5 cigarettes. The nicotine in the tobacco will kill or stun the worms long enough for you to expel them.
* Kerosene - At the most, drink 2 tablespoons of kerosene. If necessary, you can repeat this in several days (1 to 2 days at the least).
* Hot peppers - Peppers are effective only when they are a steady part of your diet. You can eat them raw or add them to food.
Many members of the piperazine family are successful anthelmintics.

Erm kena tgk tahee dia cacin akan kluo ikut situ...esp kittens...kucin dewasa kurang kot..kucin 1 thn dah ok i think...n then peyut buncit n keras

nak tanya ... awal Febuary bebaru ni .. monic vaksin kan DD (4month)+ deworm sekali kat Vet ... tengok DD popo tak de cacing kuar pun...
tapi sekarang DD nampak sehat dan aktif ... tapi perut nye kadang kala keras
skit ... adakah tu petanda ader cacing ....

:funk::funk: ni anak bongsu punya pasal i jadi "ibu kucing" pulak. :'( ada tak ubat cacing in syrup form for adult cat....susah betol aku nak kasik anak2 bulu aku makan ubat cacing tablet...dah dua kali buat sendiri tapi jenoh la...
woit wira ..anak kucing aku penah montah cacing worr...badan die kecik jek sekali yang die muntah tu mcm getah ...begulung2 panjang kaler pinkish white...ada la tiga ekor cacing..lepas tu aku lari tak cukup tanah sbb aku gelik..just imagine such long worm duduk bermastautin lam perot seekor kucing kecik iskk...:L
