;P ;P ;P ;P ;P Hard to say.AMRAAM and Aim-9x both have very good ECCM systems and are very difficult to decoy. They also have re-attack modes in case they missed a target. The -9X in particular has excellent off-boresight capability and lock on after launch (LOAL). It's also equipped with some revolutionary new rocket motor. But for now both missiles lag behind Russia in the propulsion department.
R-77 and R-73 however both possess great kinetic statistics with unparelled range (at least until Meteor and Aim-120D) and also very good maneuverability, for example those potato-masher fins on the R-77. However Russian equipment is quite unreliable and there is a very poor standard of Q.C. Dude. The older amrram A/B has lower renge.But not the Amrram 120-C5. It poseses new roket motor for increase renge and more renge than kurent
amrramski. Aim-9x also has longer renge then R-73. Most contris like US, Singapore, Thai, etc are using Amrram 120-C5 and Aim-9x now. Malaysia also has Amrram 120-C5. :loveliness:A lot poeple are using stats for Amrram A/B but there is a lot of version. New and coming version is Amrram 120-D. Pls do your homework. :lol:

Are you sure Aim-9X is 40km? That sounds a bit too high. It should be at most 25km. If you compare it to Aim-9L/M, they use the same motor, same warhead and have similar weight but the range is so different. Raytheon's AIM-9X next-generation Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missile (AAM) has been approved for low-rate initial production (LRIP).
A contract for the first 120 missiles is expected to be signed by November, and the AIM-9X is due to become operational on USAir Force Boeing F-15Cs and US Navy Boeing F/A-18C/D Hornets between late 2002 and mid-2003.
Fielding the AIM-9X finally gives US forces a Sidewinder that outperforms Russia's Vympel AA-11 Archer (R-73)short-range missile, which entered service in 1986.
The USA plans to buy 10,000 missiles for the F-15 Eagle, F/A-18, Lockheed Martin F-16 and Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22. Approval for full-rate production of 600 missiles a year is scheduled for late 2002 after completion of operational testing.
International interest in the AIM-9X is strong , says Raytheon, led by European F-16 Mid-Life Update operators. Data has been supplied to Denmark and Norway, with the latter expected to be first to choose between the AIM-9X and the multinational IRIS-T.
Switzerland is evaluating the AIM-9X against the Matra BAe Dynamics ASRAAM and Rafael Python 4 for its Hornets. Canada is looking for short- and medium-range AAMs for its F/A-18s - Australia selected the ASRAAM and Raytheon AIM-120AMRAAM for its F-18s.
