Music of the 80s: A Journey Back To Your Childhood....

As someone who born in the early 80s (I believe some of us too), I was grown up listening to variety of 80s music... new wave-infused pop, synth rock, r&b and also birth of new genres like hip-hop. In this era also we can see bad hairstyle (red-dyed, fly-aways), bad attitude, to some incidents in history like Grammy being withdrawn (remember Milli Vanilli). The best-selling album of all-time was also produced during this decade ( "Thriller" by Michael Jackson). Senior musicians also scored several #1s like Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, Bee Gees, Kenny Rogers... too many to say here.

So 80s is really a victorious decade in music industry. The musics are awesome, unforgettable, evergreen and kick-ass. I can't believe 80s decade has passed more than 20 years ago. Some of the hit-scorers during this decade have passed away... remember Freddie Mercury (of Queen), Falco's lead vocalist, Dusty Springfield, Maurice Gibb from Bee Gees and Rob from Milli Vanilli. However, can't you believe some of the hitmakers in 80s decade are still active musically today? Madonna, Janet Jackson (she now needs some feedback from her latest "Feedback" single), Michael Jackson (now re-releasing his Thriller album), Barbra Streisand, Lionel Richie, Annie Lennox (of Eurythmics), Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Willie Nelson, A-Ha... the list goes on! Even 68-year-old Tina Turner can still shake her ass off during the latest Grammy Awards night!

So now.. let's share what things that make you remember during the 80s... something that can relate to the songs and the music of 80s. :)

It's not disco dance... but new wave-infused pop and synth rock. Kalau ko dengar lagu2 mcm dari Falco, Breathe, Erasure, Yes, Queen.. walaupun rock, tapi sangat heavy dia punya synthesizer.

Disco dance nie mostly 70s.

Yup. What make 80s music unique is how all musical genres look almost same... pop, rock, r&b, rap... they all sounds the same. Sampaikan music 80s nie, sekali dengar jer ko akan tau itu music 80s. :)

Yup.. 80s music are really the most memorable one. Dulu walaupun masih kecik, tapi masih ingat lagi lagu2 nie dipasang kat radio. Sayangnya dulu kita terhad kepada apa yg dimain oleh radio jer... tak sebebas macam skarang.
