Gender -in term to define whether you are a male or female..whereas sex- depends on the context you're using.
Sex as - love making- for instance: Hows your 'sex' life?
Sex as - anatomy : male / female- for instance: What sex are you? definition...
Define -man
Define - woman
Man - a man is one whose body has been trained to be the ready servant of his mind, whose passions are trained to be the servants of his will, who enjoys the beautiful, loves truth, hates wrong, loves to do good, and respects others as himself.
Woman - a woman is like the poetry of the world in the same sense as the stars are the poetry of heaven - clear, light-giving, harmonious, they are the terrestrial planets that rule the destinies of mankind.

Canna always have amazing replies...:)btw I have written somewhat of a long post but the connection fails and I lost the post.
As far as man and woman goes...
Psychologically there is a different degrees of feminity and masculinity possessed by both gender. So, aside from physically, no absolute man or absoulte woman exist.
May write more next time.
And we may see about masculine search for freedom and;
feminine search for love and fullness. Can't say that I really subscribe to this... however the following is an excerpt from "The Way of Superior Man" by David Deida.

laa... i do not take C2H5OH and certainly i won't view man as grapes- raisins may be wakakakakakak.....are u sure that the lady was being plainly metaphorical about the analogy of lady vs man? apples and things.
:D ..i just worried that it could interweave with a tinge of delusion....of grandiosity that is.....:D :D :D :D :D

Why not... apples are good... there's no significant to choose apples over pears other than perhaps easier to imagine and to explain the situation..
One thing about woman is...she will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.
Whereas a man will dress up for weddings and funerals.
Maybe because apples are their staples?
Anyway,grapes are usually deemed more special than apples. In fruit context, anyway... ;P Since apples are so common?
Both are healthy food thought although if I'm not mistaken grapes is more of a complete food since it has more wide ranging nutritional value...
