plot:A test type Zoanoid, disguised as a normal man, escapes from anorganization called the Chronos Corporation with a bag containing threeitems called the Guyver Units. Chronos soldiers attempt to recover theunits from the test-type but are unsuccessful; the test-type wasdiscovered with a grenade in his possession and used the grenade,killing himself and scattering the Guyver Units around the area.Meanwhile, two young high school students, Shō Fukamachi and TetsurōSegawa come across one of the lost Guyver Units. Curious as to what theunit is, Shō accidentally activates the unit which then merges withhim, becoming "Guyver I." Now, Shō must fight for his life and thosethat are close to him against Zoanoids sent by the evil ChronosCorporation that are in pursuit for the Guyver Units

Guyver One is Sho Fukamachi,an ordinary high school student, who was merged with a bio-boostersymbiont completely by accident. Chronos has attempted anything intheir power to get the bio-weapon back... and thus turned Guyver Oneinto one of their most deadly enemies.

Guyver Three is Agito Makishima,also a high school student, although of a higher class than Fukamachi.Unlike the other Guyvers, he merged with the final bio-booster symbiontdeliberately. This move suits his personality, which craves power aboveanything else as he called himself Zeus to Chronos for he would taketheir Throne. He is the deadliest surviving Guyver, partly because hisgreater willpower enabled him to take control of the Gigantic unit fromFukamachi to merge with it himself, to become the deadliest warrior theworld has ever seen: the Gigantic Dark. Deadly; yes, humane;questionable.

Shō Fukamachi is main protagonist of the series. A 17 years old,second-year student at a Tokyo-area high school, Shō cares deeply forMizuki Segawa and has a romantic interest in her. Tetsuro Segawa,Mizuki's older brother, is his closest friend. In this series, he has adifferent style of hair that is colored brown instead of black. Hecomes across the mysterious Guyver unit, which merges with him andtakes form as "Guyver I." Chronos is now in pursuit of Shō, wanting thereturn of the Guyver unit. Now, Shō must fight for his life and protectthose close to him against the Zoanoids of Chronos.

Mizuki is a typical school girl that goes to the same school as Shō.She is the younger sister of Tetsuro Segawa, Shō Fukamachi's bestfriend. At first, she grows a crush on Agito Makishima, but laterstarts to appreciate Shō a lot more, maybe even starting to developfeelings for him. In this series, Mizuki has black hair instead of heroriginal brown hair.

Tetsuro is a chubby third-year student and is Shō's closestfriend. He is highly intelligent, keeps his hair cut short and wearsglasses. Agito is a third-year student at the same high school the othersattend. He almost never allows sentiment to stand in his way. Hedoesn't even show much expression in his face, but acts quite friendlyat school. He finds a Guyver unit and merges with it to become "GuyverIII." Agito also seems to have extensive knowledge on the Guyver andits abilities and exhibits them quite well. Agito seems to have his ownagenda when it comes to dealing with Chronos.
