YOGA or total fitness??

Hi,
Act I tgh bersemangat nak loose weight but i want to do it in proper way, taknak makan ubat tu ini...takut risikonye.....

I plan nak joint gym mcm Fitness First, My Fitness. Tapi somebody suggest joint "Yoga Club" which is only doing Yoga and also pilates......

But I'm not sure which one really works to loose weight.........Therefore, can anybody give me an idea which one is better?

cd yg affiliated dgn yoga journal very2 good for beginners. esp by patricia walden or rodney yee.

saya suka yoga sbb spiritual healing sekali. good for concentration and weight loss.

weight loss tu mmg berkesan ker?mudah tak buat nyer?

pling berkesan utk loose weight dlm sbulan, jog for one hour, everyday. i loose 10 kg in 3 month. bila da kurang, just buat skipping 30 min a day. takyah jog dah. kang truskan kang kerempeng plak jadiknye..

kalau ikut opinion my cikgu aerobik...to loose weight is u hv to byk kan xtvt fizikal..cam sorang forumer cakap...jog tiap2 hari selama sbln..yes it true...tp i x der la g jogging..i pegi aerobik...mmg kurus dan yg ptg tanpa makan ubat...kalau yoga (i pun join gak)..cuma utk relex and strecthing yr body...mmg blh kurus sbb peluh keluar jugak..

tp u kena ingat yr aim is to loose weight kan...so lets aerobik @ join gym...make sure kat gym tu ada consultant yg akan guide u...karang silap pilih alat jadi injured...be cafeful..:loveliness:

weight loss ni sometimes bukan senang. 3 prong strategy

1)cardio-ie jog/dancing/etc ni utk burn calories

2)weight training: utk maintain muscle. if you lose weight dramatically, you actually lose muscle. in the long run it will reduce metabolism and it's not good. losing fat and maintaining muscle means the weight loss(dlm weighing scale) mungkin sikit, tapi your shape cantik. this is why weight regime is important. so sapa2 yg lose more than a pound a week will lose mostly muscle along with fat. dats why u lihat org yg kurus ni sometimes berat, and yg gemuk gelambir ringan jerk ataupun yg kurus gelambir. welcome to the concept of body fat %.

3)diet

yoga IMHO combines both 1&2. senang crita.
migraine mungkin sbb dia ada sinusitis, tunduk2 wat yoga pose..sakit cam migrain gak. also breathing in yoga is important. if you hold your breath, sah sakit macam2.

seeloknya yoga ikut class lah dulu. tapi myself guna vcd pun kira leh progress gak.:L

sy lak g gim n mmg rasa body kita fit kerna sy bykkan berjalan n jogging kdg2 je sbb sy rasa penat klu joging ni n pergelangan kaki sy mudah sakit klu joging...

saya ada baca dlm yoga journal bahawa buat yoga ni tak semestinya resulting in weight loss. yoga ni lebih membuatkan badan kita jadi tegap so xde la spare tyre tu. saya pun buat yoga 2x and pilates 1x seminggu. mmg takde turun berat:'(tapi my sister in law kata nampak slim..so saya akan teruskan sampai bila2..try la best tau
