When I say I'm a Christian

Post Last Edit by casejulia at 25-5-2010 00:17

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not shouting "I am saved;"
I am whispering "I get lost"
"That is why I choose this way."

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I do not speak of this with pride.
I am confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not trying to be strong.
I am professing that I am weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not bragging of success.
I am admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are too visible
but God believes I am worth it.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His hame.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority
I only know I am loved.

When I say I am a Christian,
it does not mean I understand fully of all what is in the Bible or how does God work....
but simply because I believe Him no matter what....
eventhough I might not be able to fully describe the logic of Trinity,
eventhough I could not describe the logic behind the immaculate conception......
eventhough there is no scientific explanation behind everything that happened as described in the Bible
I am a Christian...
simply because I believe in Him
simply because I trust in Him
simply because I have faith on Him
For me,
He is God who created all
He is God who is most powerful than any other living or non living things
He is God who is beyond description
who am I to question Him why there is Trinity
who am I to question how the immaculate conception happened
who am I to question how Jesus is able to rise up from dead
who am I to question why things are like they are...
for looking for acceptable explanation is like
I am comparing Him to human mind, human intelligence
For I know for sure that even if we gather every human and living things intellingence together
they are still like a virus size compared to God.
My God is the God who is beyond description...
