Sempena today hari Kanser Sedunia. Apa you all tau?
Kanser atau barah ialah ketidak seimbangan replikasi dan tindak balas sel didalam badan
Apabila sel bertambah secara tidak normal ini yg menyebabkan ketumbuhan yg selalu kita dengar as tumor.
Rawatan barah ni depending kepada jenis barah. Samada melalui pembedahan, sinar x atau kemoterapi.

Hari Kanser Sedunia tahun ini mengekalkan tema I Am and I Will (Saya Akan dan Saya Boleh) yang mengajak semua individu memainkan peranan masing-masing dalam mencegah dan mengawal kanser di negara ini. Pesanan KKM kepada semua:
Jadikan pencegahan kanser sebagai salah satu agenda utama dalam kehidupan seharian dengan mengamalkan gaya hidup yang sihat;
Segera menemui doktor bagi mendapatkan nasihat dan pemeriksaan lanjut sekiranya mempunyai tanda dan gejala kanser;
Jalani ujian saringan kanser yang telah disediakan; dan
Dapatkan rawatan yang terbukti berkesan di hospital sekiranya disahkan menghidap kanser dan sentiasa patuh dengan jadual rawatan yang diberikan.
Pencegahan dan pengesanan awal boleh menyelamatkan nyawa. Mainkan peranan anda untuk memilih yang terbaik.

I hesitate utk operation. Tapi masih dlm pantauan doktor lah..
Lastly surrender.. Operate gak..
Pasrah..
Tp ye la.. Tiap apa yg Allah ambil tu, Allah pulangkn sesuatu yg lebih baik.. Hanya kita je tahu..
Yg penting be positive..

Nasopharyngeal cancer
Giri was starting his first year of medical school when he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.
“I had constant nose bleeds, was falling sick more often, and had lump at the side of my throat as big as a bottle cap, but I kind of brushed them off”
Giri finally went to see an ENT specialist when someone pointed out the lump, and was told he had stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer. The cancer had spread to both right and left of his lymph nodes along with his neck.
“I had to undergo 35 sessions of radiation and seven sessions of chemotherapy for two months,” he says. “One thing I did not expect was how weak I was going to be after treatment.
“Despite what I’ve been through, I’ve learned a lot of things:
1) Medical school was not the best option for me so I switch to biomedical science instead.
2) No need to stress over little things like being late for classes and
3) live my life to the fullest. Now, I do things in life at my own pace.”
Giri palani beat cancer at the age of 19. Now he is part of our young cancer survivors group.
