Can you share your experience doing MBA here?

im a newbie here and interested to read those thread previosly about MBA. Currently im working in the public sector and my DG asked me to get an MBA. BUt why MBA? It must be something important for the public service even we are not involve in business. So i would like to ask some advice from all of you that have the experience going through the studies. I heard this course have a lot of assignments, non-stop and of course that would be challenging for me.
Im going to seek scholarship for this and need to be prepared with what is the matter, why i should do MBA. So please advice me..
