We Have Always Lived in the Castle is a 2018 American mystery thriller film directed by Stacie Passon, written by Mark Kruger, and starring Taissa Farmiga, Alexandra Daddario, Crispin Glover, and Sebastian Stan. It was based on the 1962 novel of the same nameby Shirley Jackson.It premiered at the LA Film Festival on September 22, 2018, to positive to mixed reviews, praising the performances and direction but criticizing the lack of dramatic atmosphere. It is scheduled to be released on May 17, 2019, by Brainstorm Media.
After several members of their family die from arsenic poisoning, Merricat Blackwood lives with her older sister Constance and their ailing uncle Julian in isolation on their New England estate, away from hostile local townspeople. For years, Merricat's magic has seemingly protected the family from harm, but their somewhat peaceful existence is interrupted by the arrival of cousin Charles, who plans to steal the family fortune. So kemungkinan Constance pun kena abuse jgk dgn ayah die. Mericat umur 18 tahun. Kejadian keracunan arsenik berlaku 6 tahun lalu. Mericat was just a child when she & sister Constance was abused
