Summary:

Filem ni adaptasi buku, dia compile tiga buku jadi satu filem. So bagi yang baca buku dia tu tahu lah kan macam mana diorang twisted/improvised kan lagi plot dalam buku jadi apa yang jadi dalam filem.
Cinematography, colour, editing, so nice. Wardrobe, set, characters, casts, very on point. Music & sound effect, best best best, I suka semua playlist dia, my kind of jam.
Trust me at first you tak berapa suka pun Lara Jean ni, sebab I sendiri pun mehh ni mesti watak typical Asian, genius dalam kelas, kena buli, mak bapak kaya. But its not. Well adalah dia kena buli tapi bukan sebab dia Asian. And well I can tell the producer memang taknak sentuh pun anything racism. Walaupun cerita ni pasal teenage but the story focus is on love, not sex. I perasan takde pun diorang cursing, bad language, lawak 18sx. Entah ek, maybe ada sikit but not too excessive atau bertapis. And yes, no sex scene.
Actually, I’ve been a fan of Netflix movies sebab most of their cast are fresh faces, ataupun yang tak pernah jadi watak utama. Kedua, walaupun sesetengah daripadanya kadang-kadang tu plot macam cliché but it’s fine to me sebab relatable with real life dan ringan, senang hadam.

Definitely need more Lara Jean & Peter Kavinsky moment, when/where they fall in love, etc. And yes, a sequel please. Dah tgk dah, best! Baru tengok malam tadi. Boleh la mcm comel2. Buzzfeed dok kuar article cerita ni, even declare the best movie of all time. Budak2 muda suka la kot, bagi hacik, boleh laaa, entertaining. I bukan kategori BBNU or teens - which is the target audience for this movie. Tapi I actually enjoy sgt2 movie ni.
Being the 'outsider' and 'unpopular kid' at school - we all would love to fit in,- and this movie handled it really well without the cliche. having the main character as part Asian pun something yg lain.
Of course, in any movies, main character lelaki jugak la yang org pakat2 'drool over' - tp the writer of the book (and the director of the movie) berjaya menggabungkan semua ciri2 idaman in a teen boy dlm satu character.....
Siapa la yg tak pernah gilakan budak lelaki handsome kat sekolah yg also plays sports, baik dgn family and also ada sensitive side?
Watch it, and bring yourself back to when you were 17.... :)
Kalau nak cerita pasal storyline, sorry to say tak ada yg baru pon pasal citer ni. Kalau nak version yg lebih baik (for teen movie I mean) aku rasa 10 Things I Hate About You atau maybe the underrated Drive Me Crazy pilihan yg korang kena consider.
Tapi, benda yg buat movie ni meletop are:
1) Novel dia best seller
2) Sebab heroin dia Asian American which mmg jarang amat for teen-movie
3) Obviously, almost everyone got so thirsty for Peter Kavinsky lepas tengok movie ni ;P
p.s Hampir setiap hari Buzzfeed up article pasal movie ni sampai aku naik bohsan :lol: kat mana tgk yea selain netflix? x reti nk browse netflix? Bdk ni Filipino ke Vietnamese ke Korean? watched it andlike this movie n rasa mcm school girl again ;P
mula2 mcm.. awat heroin dia x lawa.. mixed parentage tp look asian seratus peratus unlike adik n kakak dia yg lawa npk sisi mix tu..betterlah kakaknye tu yg jd heroin... tp as the story continues suka watak n character heroin tu .. cool je.. My niece paksa I baca novel dia lepas tengok cerita ni. And...bagi I novel dia biasa je, cliche nothing much than other book. Sometimes bosan pun ada, dengan benda2 yang tak patut mention tapi author elaborate berjela-jela. Tapi ada lah jugak yang fun.
Bagi I lah, dalam buku & dalam filem, different. Tapi I suka. &forsure akan ada sequel ni nanti. Taksabar nak tengok.
