The film stars Zachary Levi and Asher Angel as Billy Batson / Shazam, a teenage boy (Angel) who can transform via the magic word "Shazam" into an adult superhero.
Official synopsis for Shazam!:“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
The film is scheduled to be released by New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D on April 5, 2019.

[*]Shazam! (2019)Both DC Comics and Marvel Comics have a hero called Captain Marvel, whose films will release the same year.
However, both are different:
* Shazam! (2019) is a teenager who received godly powers and a superhuman form
* Captain Marvel (2019) is a female superhero who received alien powers.
DC renamed their "Captain Marvel" to "Shazam" in 2012, due in part to Marvel holding the trademark on the name.
[*]Shazam! (2019)Dwayne Johnson ask his fans on which character he should pick, Shazam or Black Adam. His fans picked Black Adam.
[*]Shazam! (2019)Originally, this was going to be one film with Shazam and Black Adam meeting and clashing, but the producers decided to split the film into two origin films for both characters.

Aku pun nak cakap benda yang sama... cam murahan jer... si Levi ni aku kurang minat pulak bila dia dah Buff bentuk badan dah nampak cam bukan dia..
kostum dia... nampak sangat mcm cosplay.. dgn lampu led di dada lagi... shazam. ni nama ahli sihir yg bg dia power tu.. nama dia kapten marvel... tp sebab marvel dah ada nama kapten marvel.. dc bg nama shazam TRIVIA

tulah pasal character dah kena bunuh, so kena cari watak baru
btw his body still look normal proportion....mungkin in Shazam....the suit is design in that way to appear similiar like in comics
