Oh, ada rilis dalam negara juga? Bagi akak ok la Henry ni berlakon. Seblom mega femes kat Holiwud sekarang heol ada ja filem horror/thriller made in Malaysia (but made by kokesen and berlakon with kokesen) tak silap kat hutan Sarawak tu filming dibuat. Heol juga hada buat brieg cameo yang lansung tak memorable dalam filim Pisau Cukur. But untuk Simple Favour ni malas la nak tengok kat cinema. Tunggu kuar Astro jah tahun depan. But tengok Astro musti tak best dah cut banyak nak tengok adegan Blake lari bugil lompat masuk lake (spoiler) or tengok Henry ngeho'oh ngan Blake ngan Anna pon takleh. :lol:

I dah baca the novel & dah watched the movie, personally I prefer the book than the movie, plot wise.
Stephanie
Watak Stephanie dalam novel is creepier, goody-two-shoes, abit annoying, borderline stalker & has different surname (Ward vs Smothers), tapi dalam movie lain sikit, Anna Kendrick berjaya jadikan Stephanie more likeable & relatable. The incest aspect tak dikembangkan sangat dlm movie but dalam novel, it's a major (internal) conflict/guilt for Stephanie. But basically, Stephanie ni mmg a helicopter mom to Miles. I suka character Stephanie ni dalam movie, but annoyed dgn Stephanie dalam novel.
Emily
Dalam novel, Emily ni manipulative, quite stoney, driven by excitement & love having power to control information. Dalam movie, her character tak strong sgt mcm dlm novel but still manipulative. Yang peliknya, Emily curses a lot in the movie, sampai anak dia si Nicky tu pun sebut F word, this makes her character dalam movie ni abit snobbish. Dalam novel, Emily mmg care & sayang sgt dgn Nicky but this soft side of her tak ditonjolkan sgt dalam movie, sebaliknya, dia nampak garang. I know ramai yg teruja dgn Emily punye wardrobes, especially the men's suit/tux ala Diane Keaton tu but am so-so aje on this. Why Emily pakai white-tie tux to playground, pakai Ralph Lauren double-breasted white pinstripe suite, tayang side-boobs kat kubur, with tongkat some more? :doh3: The only outfit yg really made an impact to me was the blue floral Grace Kelly-style housedress, Emily nampak like the perfect wife but devious at the same time. Blake Lively as Emily Nelson? Just okay. Feig (director) should be thankful for her marketing tactics, coz Blake byk generate hypes about this movie via socmed, just to build-up the anticipation. I love how manipulative Emily can be in the novel, but dalam movie tak berapa sangat.
Sean
Dalam novel, Sean digambarkan sbg Brit yg tall, dark, rugged & muscular. Dalam movie, Sean ni just a tall Asian guy yg kelihatan macam dah 2-3 hari tak mandi, I dont know why but Henry Golding nampak busuk dlm movie ni. I wish other actor yg bawa karektor Sean ni, the real Brit. But I guess the director mmg cari actor yg bukan household name kot so dia tak overshadow BlakeL & AnnaK. Apa yg buat I turn-off sangat dgn si Henry ni adalah cara dia bercakap & his nasal voice. Perbezaan lain di antara novel & movie, Sean has different job & alibi. The only persamaan between the 2 Sean - he is a weak man, easily manipulated by women & lust.
Other differences in movie vs novel
- dalam movie, Stephanie & Emily mula berkawan sbb their boys nak playdate. Dalam novel, Emily mmg carefully pilih Stephanie as temporary "nanny" for her plotting. Emily labeled Stephanie as "the Fish" (ala in poker game).
- dalam novel, Emily & Stephanie mula bonding over white wine, not martinis mcm dalam movie. Subtle product placement - Ryan Reynold's Aviation Gin, Blake ohh Blake, pandai!
- the insurance payout, $2 million in the novel & $4 million in the movie.
- dalam novel, there's no Hope, Faith & Charity, cuma ada Evelyn.
- dalam novel, Stephanie melawat emak Emily yg dementia tu as herself, takde menyamar as housekeeper/saleswoman bagai mcm dlm movie.
- dalam movie, Emily was blackmailed to do what she did, at some point, but dalam novel takde unsur ni, Emily yg blackmailed Stephanie.
- scenes dalam movie byk juga yg theatrical, but dalam novel byk yg psychological, but dua2 overall still juicy.
- ending dalam movie vs ending dalam novel, totally berbeza. Personally, I prefer novel punye ending coz it gives more umphh to Emily's character.
