Recently named one of the 10 Emerging Jazz Artists of 2023 by the Recording Academy, Lu brings a unique perspective as a Taiwanese-born woman vibraphonist with a background in classical and jazz music from Taipei National University of the Arts and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She's earned acclaim for her music and has toured extensively worldwide.
Recorded at Turtle Studios in Philadelphia, Chien Chien was accompanied by the legendary Donald Stevens, aka “Uncle Don,” known for his contributions to the neo soul scene, including Grammy-winning work with Jill Scott and hits like "Long Walk."
